The Bulgarian side has picked up a third victory since they added Georgi "SHiPZ" Grigorov late last year.
SKADE have secured the Elisa Invitational Spring title following a 2-0 victory in the grand final against Nordavind, completing a tough run through the $50,000 tournament that also saw the Bulgarians beat the dominant HAVU squad, Apeks, and Young Ninjas in close series.
The team's newest addition, former c0ntact star SHiPZ, spearheaded their grand final efforts as he topped the scoreboard with a 1.59 rating in a 16-7 win on Overpass and a 1.31 rating in an Inferno marathon affair which went to triple overtime.
With the title-winning run, SKADE continue their upwards trajectory following the 20-year-old's arrival at the end of last year in place of Teodor "SPELLAN" Nikolov.
After a lengthy period of stagnation in 2020, the Bulgarian side recently hit an important milestone, reaching the 28th spot in the ranking at the beginning of April on the back of a 16-series winning streak at the lower tier across tournaments such as Snow Sweet Snow 3 and the first ESEA Spring Cash Cup.
The team has since gone on to qualify for REPUBLEAGUE TIPOS Season 1, made it to the playoffs of the European Development Championship 3, and reached the second stage of Spring Sweet Spring 1 Regionals alongside their win at the Elisa Invitational.
The final standings of Elisa Invitational Spring 2021 look as follows:
